Aims and Objectives of the Project
At BCC “PRERNA” supported by MG Motor we conduct free skill development training on Cutting and Stitching,hand embroidery, and creating home decors, handcrafted jewellery bags, hand-painted greeting cards etc.
To support economically underprivileged women from urban slums as well as to revive traditional art and handicrafts by training and encouraging budding artisans through our Sustainable Livelihood Program for Women
To empower and build skill of 100 underprivileged women from urban slums of vadodara in tailoring and embroidery and enhance self employment and self reliance in them.
TRAINING FOCUS WILL BE ON FOLLOWING :
:: Measuring & Cutting
IMPARTED TRAINING ON MAKING ITEMS OUT OF CLOTHES AND ENHANCE THE CAPACITY WITH RESPECT TO :
- Marketing aspects of tailoring unit
- SHGs and and cooperatives of tailoring units
- Better chances of employment
- High earning levels
- Increased job satisfaction
- Improved flexibility and mobility
- Empowerment and gender equality
:: The women are expected to acquire a strong sense of ownership of the program
:: The project will promote aspects of livelihood, which is a sustainable approach
:: Financial Stability by creating work opportunity and market linkages.
:: Trained women will mobilize and gain access to Gov. schemes, bank loans, subsidies etc.
