Every child deserves a future, a fair chance and a childhood. Children from the deprived communities are exposed a lot of forces that keep her/him out of school. We see children laboring in farms, wayside dhabas, to the numerous workshops, factories and household enterprises in the unorganized sector. 56% of girls in India are either not in school or will drop out before the age of 14 owing to several socio-cultural-economic reasons. Your child sponsorship will not only ensure education and adequate nutrition to the child, but will also address the issues that keep her/ him out of school.
The seeds of change are required not just to sponsored children and their families, but to the communities where they live. Savera however is an initiative to support education for children. Baroda Citizens Council carries outreach activities and targets children who are unable to pursue education due to lack of funds. We sponsor the children in this project and facilitates linking sponsors with individual children. We take a note to follows through by disbursing and monitoring the sponsors' funds and work with both sponsors and the projects in India to obtain regular progress reports of the children and help to build a strong career ahead. The sponsor can request the reports on funds and development of the child. This program is meant for individual donors as well as for companies looking for CSR projects.
